play-time

The concept for U.Porto’s Holiday Sports Camp turns children’s activities into playful illustrations that breathe energy and enthusiasm. These illustrations draw inspiration from each of the event’s related symbols such as ice creams, for the Summer; stars for Christmas; and eggs for Easter.

The posters sets up the tone for future communication supports by using simplified silhouettes and themed motifs that can be used across all necessary materials.

Each poster uses a themed colour palette, which relates to its event thus creating a specific mood and recognition, without losing cohesiveness.

the principles

The Principles of Design and Development, minimal poster series that we designed for our partners at Tekzenit to be a part of the brand new office’s interior design. Simplistic approach reduces the form to the minimum necessary bringing the posters closer to Geometric Abstraction paintings; being the large-scale colour accent in the clean and bright office interior.

social economy bite-sized

When faced with this challenge for the book A Economia Social em Portugal: Necessidades, perspetivas e fontes de financiamento (Social Economy in Portugal: Needs, prospects and sources of funding)—written by José Manuel Fernandes—we converted topics into colours and cluttered charts into clear and easy to understand infographics.

The appendix uses a different coloured paper, allowing users to identify the book’s different content sections even when closed. The final result is a colour-coded, elegant and dynamic piece clearly divided by subjects and topics where information can be easily found.

through a glass of wine

Selling online may be quite challenging, but as we know customers usually choose with their eyes, making the visual impact key.
For this project—Anatomia de Vinho (online store selling regional Portuguese wines) we knew we had to convey the terroirs’ anatomy, the fruit’s taste and the landscape’s diversity, which meant this ought to be an ode to the best that wine has to offer.
This all culminates in strong typography with winy colours and a symbol that encapsulates the land’s wine-making tradition in a glass.

twinkling season

Diogo and Cristiana used photography to create a stop-motion GIF which embodies the season’s excitement, shiny lights, the glitter and all that fast-paced mood involved. The result is a playful pair of animated postcards that conveys exactly what Inno Laboratory wanted: a Merry Christmas and a Bright Happy New Year.
